We are working with the German working group Staudensichtung to evaluate the assortment of perennials. Perennials are rated in different climates at 18 locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and recently also in the Czech Republic. This year, the testing of the Achillea range began, which was planted here in the Dendrological Garden in Průhonice, the genus Salvia is preparing for next year, which will be planted and evaluated in the Botanical Garden of Troy.
We evaluate according to the German criteria and system, which has been running for a long time. It is mostly evaluated for time 3 years and criteria such as wintering are followed, beginning of flowering, resistance to pests and diseases, length of flowering, vitality and more.
